Miss Emcee, if you’re nasty

A magical thing happened years ago. Friend opens bar. Friend wants live music. Separate friend suggests a piano cabaret night with yours truly in the mix. It was that fast that I became an Emcee. I hadn’t any idea that I would love it to the core, but I guess after seven years of sketch comedy, it makes perfect sense. Almost seven years ago and a couple of whiskey’s later, Starr Bar’s Major/Minor Piano Variety Cabaret was born. Each show is unique and special, with performers of all kinds: singers, comedians, instrumentalists, dancers and more. The ridiculously talented piano man, Mitch Marcus, backs us all up.  Since then, I’ve expanded the cabaret to bringing the variety model to festivals, for a more improved lineup with festival-goers. You never know what your going to get, and it’s magic. My absolute joy is bringing people together to create a space for them to share their gifts.
